Adult students are faced with prominent conflicts between study and work as well as diverse and hierarchical needs.The existing learning support services have long been plagued by problems such as inadequate adaptation and fragmentation,making it difficult to address students'needs throughout the entire learning process.Against the dual backdrop of building a lifelong education system and advancing the digital transformation of educa-tion,this study draws on Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory and social support network theory.Focusing on adult students,it integrates theoretical analy-sis with practical application to systematically analyzes students'learning needs across five dimensions with digital technology:physiological needs,safety needs,belongingness and love,esteem,and self-actualization,while identifying the shortcomings of current support services.Based on the hierarchy of needs,the study links multiple nodes including schools,communities,enterprises,and peer networks,constructs five types of digital support systems:basic security,risk prevention and control,emotional connection,value recognition,and development empowerment,and establishes a hierarchical,pre-cisely targeted,collaborative,and efficient digital learning support network for adult students.The findings suggest that the digital learning support net-work under the coupling of the two theories provides a new perspective and practical pathway for addressing the key challenges faced by adult students,and contributes to the digital transformation of adult education and the improvement of the lifelong education system.
