Objective:To reduce the number of items the Chinese version of the Young Schema Question-naire-Short Form(YSQ-SF)and to evaluate the reliability and validity of the simplified version.Methods:A total of 2 067 adult participants(679 clinical and 1 388 non-clinical)completed the YSQ-SF.Based on confirmatory fac-tor analysis(CFA),three items with the highest factor loadings from each of the 15 schemas were retained,yielding a 45-item simplified version.The construct validity,criterion-related validity,internal consistency,and test-retest re-liability were examined.Multigroup CFA was performed to assess measurement invariance across gender and clini-cal status.Results:The 15-factor and five-schema-domain models demonstrated good model fit(CFI＞0.90,RM-SEA＜0.08),with factor loadings ranging from 0.46 to 0.88.Schema domain scores were positively correlated with the total and domain scores of the YSQ-SF(r=0.57-0.99,Ps＜0.01).The internal consistency(Cronbach's α=0.96)and test-retest reliability(r=0.96)were both high.Multigroup CFA supported good structural invari-ance across gender and clinical groups(ΔCFI＜0.010,ΔRMSEA＜0.015).Conclusion:The simplified Chinese YSQ-SF exhibits robust validity,reliability,and cross-group stability,supporting its use as an efficient schema as-sessment tool in both clinical and non-clinical populations.Conclusion:The simplified Chinese version of the YSQ-SF demonstrates excellent reliability,validity,and cross-group stability,supporting its use for schema assessment and research in both clinical and non-clinical populations.
