Shiitake mushroom(Lentinula edodes)is the edible mushroom variety with the highest annual production in China,occupying a core position in rural revitalization and agricultural economic development.Its industrial development is of great significance for ensuring food supply and promoting agricultural efficiency.However,the traditional cultiva-tion models face increasingly prominent issues such as high resource dependence,environmental pressure,and single cul-tivation mode,which restrict the healthy development of the shiitake mushroom industry.Establishing a sustainable culti-vation system for shiitake mushroom has therefore become an effective way for industrial transformation.This paper sys-tematically expounds the core connotation and construction principles of the sustainable cultivation system for shiitake mushroom,and provides a comprehensive review of key research areas,including cultivation substrate optimization,ex-cellent germplasm innovation,precise environmental control,spent mushroom residue recycling,and novel cultivation modes.Furthermore,it explores the limitations of current research,offers prospects for future development directions of the shiitake mushroom industry,and aims to provide theoretical support and technical references for the green and high-quality development of the industry.
