Research progress on biochar modification and its applications in water treatment

原始生物炭因对目标污染物吸附容量和选择性不足,难以满足多元复合污染深度治理需求,限制了其在废弃生物质资源化利用及水处理领域的应用潜力.功能化改性可显著提升生物炭的污染物选择性去除性能.聚焦于生物炭功能化,综述了生物炭的制备方法以及改性方法的条件与优缺点,系统梳理了改性生物炭在水处理中的研究进展,包括其单独应用及与其他技术联用的策略,分析了改性生物炭当前面临的再生困难、稳定性差及未达到规模化制备等问题,并展望了绿色改性工艺、结构精准调控与工程应用集成等未来研究方向,以期推动其实际水处理应用.

Raw biochar exhibits insufficient adsorption capacity and selectivity of target pollutants,making it inadequate for the deep remediation of complex multi-pollutant systems.This limitation constrains its potential in utilizing waste biomass and in advanced water treatment.Functional modification has been proven to significantly enhance the selective removal performance of pollutants of biochar.Focusing on the biochar functionalization,biochar preparation methods and the conditions,advantages and disadvantages of modification methods were reviewed.Research progress on applications of modified biochar in water treatment,including its individual application and strategies for combining with other technologies,was summarized.The current difficulties in regeneration,poor stability,and failure to achieve large-scale production were analyzed.The future research directions including green modification processes,precise structural regulation and integration into engineering applications were looked forward,in order to promote modified biochar's practical applications in water treatment.
