[Purpose]In the Russia-Ukraine conflict,Russia actively conducted counterintelligence operations in response to Ukraine′s comprehensive intelligence warfare,which swiftly reversed the passive situation in intelligence operations during the early stages of the con-flict and effectively supported Russian military′s operations on the frontal battlefield.By systematizing and summarizing its counterintelli-gence measures and operational experience,it can provide valuable references for strengthen the construction and development in related fields.[Method]Such methods as information deduction,comparative identification and systematic analysis were used to comprehensively analyze Russia′s passive counterintelligence and active counterintelligence initiatives;through inductive and deductive reasoning methods,Russia′s counterintelligence efforts were evaluated and summarized.[Result/Conclusion]While reinforcing traditional counterintelligence measures,Russia advanced its capabilities through both offensive and defensive approaches,providing robust support for battlefield opera-tions across physical,cyber,and cognitive domains.This validated the theory of Russian-style hybrid warfare and highlighted the critical role of information network technologies in counterintelligence operations.These findings suggest the increasing importance of the integra-tion of peacetime and wartime readiness,the hybrid nature and its integrity of counterintelligence,as well as its contemporaneity and ex-pansibility.
