豇豆新品种'衡紫豇1号'的选育OA

'Hengzijiang 1'is a new cowpea variety bred by the Hengyang Vegetable Research Institute.It was developed via systematic selection and nine consecutive generations of selfing,starting from an excellent variant single plant screened from local red cowpea germplasm in 2013.As an early-to-medium maturing vining cowpea variety,it has a main vine of approximately 3.3 m in length,with the first flower node at the 2.8～3.3 rd node.This variety exhibits vigorous growth,medium-sized dark green leaves and dark purple commercial pods.Its pods have an average length of 65.6 cm and a single pod weight of 26.7 g,with kidney-shaped seeds.The pods are tender,low in fiber and superior in commercial quality.The average fresh yield is approximately 2 000 kg per 667 m2,and the variety is suitable for spring and autumn cultivation in Hunan Province.
