Developing new quality productive forces is the fundamental way to promote common prosperity in border areas.The new quality of productive forces,based on the optimization and reorganization of new types of workers,new types of means of labor,and new types of objects of labor,enhances the commonality,prosperity and sustainability in the common prosperity of border areas from three dimensions:accelerating economic growth and increasing residents'income,promoting the sharing of achievements and fair opportunities,and facilitating green development and ecological protection.However,the border areas are confronted with a series of practical predicaments,including a weak industrial foundation and a single industrial structure,lagging facility construction and insufficient data utilization,uneven wealth distribution and imbalance in urban-rural development,low technological stock and weak innovation capacity,difficulties in attracting and cultivating talents and severe outflow,fragile ecological environment and frequent natural disasters,which affect the exertion of the enabling effect of new quality productive forces.To this end,in response to the current development predicament,it is urgent to start from optimizing the industrial structure,innovating digital applications,regulating wealth distribution,strengthening technological empowerment,"attracting and cultivating"high-quality talents,and maintaining ecological security,so as to continuously enhance the enabling effect of new quality productive forces on promoting common prosperity in border areas.
