This paper systematically elucidates the academic philosophy and therapeutic experience of Xiong Jibai in the treatment of unstable angina pectoris(UAP)based on the theory of"intermingled phlegm and blood stasis combined with deficiency of heart qi".He posits that UAP falls under the category of"chest obstruction"in traditional Chinese medicine,with its core pathogenesis involving heart qi deficiency,which leads to phlegm-stasis mutual entanglement,and obstruction of the heart meridians.These two factors form a pathological relationship characterized by"deficiency complicated with excess,deficiency and excess mutually reinforcing each other".His therapeutic approaches emphasize a dynamic adjustment of formulas and dosage based on the disease progression.Using the Shiwei Wendan Decoction as a foundation,he combines it with Xiaoxianxiong Decoction in the acute phase to clear phlegm and resolve stasis,with Shengmai Powder in the remission phase to tonify qi and nourish yin,and with agents for benefiting qi,activating blood flow,and resolving phlegm in the stabilization phase as follow-up treatment.His methods embody the precise medication philosophy of"treating a disease according to its specific syndromes and selecting formulas based on its syndromes".Integrating Xiong Jibai's theoretical origins with his clinical experience,this article is expected to provide a model for the treatment of unstable angina pectoris in traditional Chinese medicine.
