从"住有所居"到"创新有为":保障房建设对城市创新的影响研究OACHSSCD

As an important livelihood project,affordable housing construction not only benefits people's well-being and pro-motes development but also stimulates urban innovation vitality.Based on panel data from 282 prefecture-level cities in China from 2007 to 2024,this paper empirically examines the impact of affordable housing construction on urban innovation.The study finds that:the increase in the supply of affordable housing significantly enhances cities'innovation patent output;mechanism analysis shows that affordable housing construction can improve urban innovation levels by attracting labor inflows,promoting talent agglome-ration,and increasing urban economic activity;heterogeneity analysis indicates that affordable housing construction has a greater effect on innovation levels in central regions,innovative cities,and higher-tier cities;further tests reveal that affordable housing construction has a significant positive spatial spillover effect on the innovation output of surrounding cities.This paper provides both theoretical basis and empirical evidence for re-evaluating the multidimensional value of affordable housing construction and offers policy insights for optimizing affordable housing to enhance urban innovation levels.
