Growth and Physiological Responses to High Salt Stress in Seedlings of Melon Germplasms

以13份甜瓜种质资源为试材,通过测定生长与生理指标,结合主成分分析和聚类分析,综合评价其苗期耐盐性,以期为耐盐育种提供参考依据.结果表明:盐胁迫显著抑制幼苗生长,株高降幅达15%~57%,丙二醛(MDA)含量上升,脯氨酸(Pro)含量大量积累,叶绿素含量下降.耐盐材料能维持较高的超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化物酶(POD)和过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性,三者与MDA含量呈极显著负相关.主成分分析提取出3个主成分(累计贡献率86.039%),结合聚类分析将材料分为5个耐盐等级,其中8号('2025-42')与12号("梦蜜")为高耐盐材料,4号与11号为高敏感材料.因此甜瓜耐盐性多受生理过程协同调控,其中抗氧化酶系统的协同防御能力为核心机制.

Thirteen melon germplasm resources were used as the test materials to comprehensively evaluate their salt tolerance at the seedling stage by measuring growth and physiological indicators,combined with principal component analysis(PCA)and cluster analysis,in order to provide references for salt-tolerant breeding.The results showed that salt stress significantly inhibited seedling growth,with plant height reduction ranging from 15%to 57%.Malondialdehyde(MDA)content increased,proline(Pro)content accumulated substantially,and chlorophyll content decreased.Salt-tolerant materials maintained higher activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),and catalase(CAT),and the activities of these three enzymes were significantly negatively correlated with MDA content.PCA extracted three principal components with a cumulative contribution rate of 86.039%.Cluster analysis classified the 13 materials into five salt-tolerance grades,among which No.8('2025-42')and No.12('Mengmi')were highly salt-tolerant,while No.4 and No.11 were highly sensitive.In conclusion,salt tolerance in melon was synergistically regulated by multiple physiological processes,with the coordinated defense capability of the antioxidant enzyme system serving as the core mechanism.
