Response of runoff and sediment yield to rainfall characteristics on slopes under typical vegetation measures in Dabie Mountain Region

[目的]明确大别山区复杂雨型下不同植被对坡面侵蚀的调控机制,探讨降雨类型、植被种类及其交互作用对坡面产流产沙的影响,为该地区水土流失防治和植被恢复配置提供科学依据.[方法]利用黄冈市石桥铺站点径流小区2007-2016年59场侵蚀性降雨事件数据,并以降雨量、雨强、历时三参数采用K-means聚类法将降雨事件划分为A,B,C共3种雨型,分析不同雨型和植被种类下的产流产沙特征,并探讨坡面径流与土壤流失的影响因素.[结果]C型雨(小雨量、中历时、低雨强,频率58%)虽单次强度较低,但因高频特征使其年累计土壤流失量最大,产流产沙贡献率分别达55.0%和74.3%,是该地区的主控降雨类型;B型雨(大雨量、长历时、大雨强,低频8%)单次危害最大,产流产沙贡献率分别为10.2%和12.4%;A型雨贡献率为34.7%和13.3%.香根草(密植)表现出最佳的水土保持效果,其年均径流量和产沙量较金鸡菊分别降低59.3%和73.8%(p<0.05).5种植被的整体水土保持效果排序为香根草(密植)>香根草>萱草>伞房花>金鸡菊.相关分析显示,径流量(RY)主要受降雨量(P)影响,土壤流失(SY)与径流量(RY)和降雨侵蚀力(R)密切相关.[结论]C型雨是大别山黄棕壤坡地年产流产沙的主控雨型;香根草(密植)通过降雨—径流—侵蚀的级联调控,表现出最优的生态防护效能.

[Objective]This study aims to clarify the regulation mechanisms of different vegetation types on slope erosion under complex rainfall patterns in the Dabie Mountain Region,and to investigate the effects of rainfall types,vegetation species,and their interactions on slope runoff and sediment yield,so as to provide a scientific basis for soil and water conservation and vegetation restoration in this region.[Methods]Based on data from 59 erosive rainfall events from 2007 to 2016 recorded at runoff plots of the Shiqiaopu station in Huanggang City,Hubei Province,China,the K-means clustering method was employed to classify the rainfall events into three types(A,B,and C)according to three parameters:precipitation,rainfall intensity,and duration.The characteristics of runoff and sediment yield under different rainfall types and vegetation species were investigated,and the factors influencing slope runoff and soil loss were analyzed.[Results]Type C rainfall(low precipitation,moderate duration,low intensity,frequency 58%),although weak in individual events,resulted in the largest annual cumulative soil loss due to its high frequency,with contribution rates of 55.0%and 74.3%to runoff and sediment yield,respectively,making it the dominant rainfall type in this area.Type B rainfall(high precipitation,long duration,high intensity,low frequency 8%)caused the greatest single-event damage,contributing 10.2%to runoff and 12.4%to sediment yield.Type A rainfall contributed 34.7%and 13.3%,respectively.Densely planted vetiver grass demonstrated the best soil and water conservation effect,reducing annual average runoff and sediment yield by 59.3%and 73.8%,respectively,compared with coreopsis(p<0.05).The overall soil and water conservation effect of the five vegetation types ranked as follows:densely planted vetiver grass>vetiver grass>daylily>Argentine senna>coreopsis.Correlation analysis showed that runoff(RY)was primarily driven by precipitation(P),while soil loss(SY)was closely related to runoff volume(RY)and rainfall erosivity(R).[Conclusion]Type C rainfall is the dominant rainfall type controlling annual runoff and sediment yield on yellow-brown soil slopes in the Dabie Mountain Region.Densely planted vetiver grass exhibits optimal ecological protection efficiency through a cascade regulation of rainfall-runoff-erosion.
