Silage was identified as the core roughage in modern animal husbandry,and the technological level of its harvesting equipment was found to directly affect the supply efficiency and nutritional quality of forage.In this paper,the research status of silage harvesters at home and abroad was systematically reviewed in the key technical areas of cutting and feeding,chopping and grain crushing,power transmission,and intelligent control.The prominent problems in China regarding product homogenization,scenario adaptability,precision of industrial policies,and industrial chain coordination were analyzed.In combination with national policy guidance and market demand,the transformation and upgrading pathways were proposed,which included accelerating the deep integration of intelligent technologies,strengthening efficient scenario adaptation,and improving the service system of the whole industrial chain.Moreover,the future development directions were prospected,aiming to provide theoretical references for the high-quality development of silage harvesting equipment in China.
