Shengyang Yiwei Decoction,developed by LI Gao,is a famous formula for nourishing Qi,elevating Yang,clearing heat,and eliminating dampness.It is often used in clinical practice to treat digestive system diseases,tumors,kidney diseases,etc.From the perspective of treating different diseases with the same method,Professor SHEN Tao believes that Shengyang Yiwei Decoction can be used to treat chronic cough caused by lung Qi deficiency due to spleen-stomach deficiency and Qi obstruction due to phlegm retention.According to syndrome differentiation,Professor SHEN used this decoction to treat chronic cough caused by spleen-stomach deficiency and achieved certain therapeutic effects in clinical practice.This article analyzes the etiology and pathogenesis of chronic cough caused by lung-spleen deficiency and comprehensively understands the prescription based on the composition of the prescription and medical records,aiming to better guide clinical practice.
