Against the backdrop of the"Double Ten-Thousand Program"and the new agricultural sciences development,addressing bottlenecks in talent cultivation,industry-education integration,and faculty development,and exploring pathways for constructing first-class undergraduate programs adapted to regional needs,have become key tasks for the high-quality development of local universities.Relying on two national and two provincial first-class undergraduate programs,the College of Resources and Environment,Shanxi Agricultural University,has aligned with the national strategy for ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin,responded to the demands of agricultural resource utilization and ecological environmental governance,and established a collaborative system featuring"education through competitions,university-enterprise coordination,and quality empowerment".It strengthens practical education via the"one major,one competition"model,deepens university-enterprise-government collaboration and industry-education integration,fosters a culture of teaching quality,and enhances teachers' instructional innovation capacity.Practice has demonstrated that these reforms have significantly improved students' practical and innovative abilities,teachers' teaching competence,and the programs' capacity to serve local development.The achievements provide replicable and scalable experience for peer local universities in building first-class undergraduate programs.
