Engineering-Oriented Interdisciplinary Research and Talent Support:An Introduction to the Special Issue
跨学科研究已成为应对复杂社会挑战的核心范式.在梳理跨学科科研与人才支撑国内外研究进展的基础上,指出跨学科研究存在多种类型与动力来源,其中"工程导向的跨学科研究",即以工程需求为牵引、以解决真实工程问题为指向的跨学科研究,在今天中国科技强国建设的现实语境下具有特别重要的战略意义.本专刊13篇论文从重大工程中的跨学科组织与协同创新、跨学科知识生产的机制与平台、跨学科人才培养的模式创新、交叉学科的制度建设四个维度展开多元探索,共同揭示了工程导向跨学科科研对精心的制度设计和持续的人才支撑的结构性依赖.围绕"走向工程导向的跨学科科研"这一方向,本文从评价体系、人工智能赋能、制度变革等角度探讨了未来路径,指出了需要深化研究的关键议题.
Interdisciplinary research has become a core paradigm for addressing complex societal challenges,yet its institutional advancement faces persistent tensions including misaligned evaluation systems and insufficient talent support.Based on a review of domestic and international research progress on interdisciplinary research and talent support,this introduction identifies that interdisciplinary research encompasses multiple types and driving forces.Among these,engineering-oriented interdisciplinary research—which takes engineering demands as its compass and aims at solving real-world engineering problems—holds particular strategic significance in the current context of China's pursuit of scientific and technological self-reliance.The 14 papers in this special issue explore four key dimensions:Interdisciplinary organization and collaborative innovation in major engineering projects,mechanisms and platforms for interdisciplinary knowledge production,innovative models for interdisciplinary talent cultivation,and institutional development of cross-disciplinary fields.Collectively,they reveal that engineering-oriented interdisciplinary research depends structurally on deliberate institutional design and sustained talent support.Orienting toward the direction of"engineering-oriented interdisciplinary research",this introduction further explores future pathways from the perspectives of evaluation system reform,AI-enabled transformation,and institutional and organizational innovation,while identifying key issues that require continued in-depth investigation.
