Active Clamped Quasi-Y-source Inverter and Its PWM Control MethodOA
A novel active clamp-type quasi-Y-source inverter is introduced to address the issue of high busbar voltage peaks in conventional quasi-Y-source inverters. The power switch, capacitor, and diode are embedded in the quasi-Y-source inverter to form a clamp circuit that suppresses the voltage peak on the DC bus and improves the voltage gain of the inverter.Simultaneously,an improved pulse-width modulation(PWM)method is introduced.By staggering the shoot-through states in the inverter switch and the on-state of the additional switch, the voltage gain can be further improved, and the high-frequency peak-to-peak current ripple of the input inductor can be reduced. The working principle of the inverter is analyzed in detail, the formulas for voltage gain and device voltage stress are derived, and the performance of the inverter is compared with that of other inverters. Finally,a prototype is established for verification, and the experimental results confirm the inverter’s viability.
