Clinical characteristics and prognosis of organofluoride exposure-related lung injury:a case seriesOA
Respiratory injury caused by the inhalation of toxic gases represents a common and clinically significant form of chemical exposure.[1] Previous studies indicate that the severity and pattern of airway damage are largely determined by the concentration, water solubility, and duration of exposure to the offending agents.[2,3] Organofluorides, valued for their chemical stability, heat resistance, and corrosion resistance, are widely used in chemical manufacturing, refrigerants, pesticides, and fluorinated organic synthesis.
