Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage(DAH)is a lifethreatening clinical condition characterized by bleeding into alveolar spaces,resulting in diffuse pulmonary infiltrates,hemoptysis,and hypoxemic respiratory failure.The etiologies of DAH include,but are not limited to,hematologic abnormalities(e.g.,thrombocytopenia and coagulopathies),autoimmune diseases(e.g.,vasculitis and systemic lupus erythematosus),and toxic or drug-induced lung injury.
