A 71-year-old man with a 30-year history of hypertension and a prior percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)with two stents implanted in the left anterior descending artery 12 years ago for angina pectoris presented with a 6-month history of progressive palpitations and dyspnea.He had remained stable on regular medication and surveillance since the PCI.
