This article introduces Professor HAN Xinmin's characteristics in the differential diagnosis and treatment of refractory and complex vocal tic disorders in children.Professor HAN emphasizes that such disorders are closely related to wind,fire,and phlegm.In the acute stage,exogenous wind pathogens transform into heat,consuming body fluids to form phlegm that accumulates in the throat,requiring treatment to disperse wind and resolve phlegm.In the chronic stage,healthy qi is insufficient,and internal wind combines with phlegm,necessitating a holistic approach to reinforce healthy qi and expel wind-phlegm.Additionally,attention should be paid to the treatment of sinusitis,rhinitis,and laryngitis.One case example is provided for validation.
