A Ka-band waveguide antenna array with high isolation and low side-lobe
提出一种用于机载平台的毫米波高隔离低副瓣波导天线阵列.针对不规则口径,合理划分子阵,在各区域通过泰勒综合法实现低副瓣;由于各子阵区域形状不同,波导阵列在合成波束时受相位影响,导致波束合成异常.对此,通过阵列分区域补偿相位,合成低副瓣、高增益笔形波束.此外,针对收发阵列共板带来的隔离问题,增加隔离区及隔离装置,将收发阵列间的隔离度至少提高10 dB.仿真结果显示,该天线合成波束在中心频点(频率>30 GHz)的方位向可实现-30.1 dB的低副瓣,最大增益>35 dBi,收发阵列之间的隔离度<-50 dB.基于该设计加工了阵列样机,阵列样机的方向图、隔离度测试结果与阵列仿真结果吻合良好,有效验证了该阵列低副瓣及高隔离特性.
A millimeter-wave waveguide antenna array with high isolation and low Side-Lobe Level(SLL)applied to airborne platform is proposed in this paper.For irregular radar aperture,reasonable partitioning and the Taylor syntaxic method are adopted in all regions to achieve low SLL performance.Because the shape of sub-array region is different,the beam-forming of waveguide antenna array is normally deteriorated by the phase of port excitation.To tackle with this issue,phase partitioning compensation is employed to obtain beam-forming with low side-lobe level and high gain.Furthermore,the isolation of Transmitting and Receiving(T/R)array is improved by dividing the isolated zone and adding an isolated device.The simulation results confirm that the proposed antenna array can meet the requirement of radar,where the side-lobe level of azimuth pattern is-30.1 dB,the gain is better than 35 dBi,the isolation of T/R array is below-50 dB.A prototype array is fabricated and measured to verify the effectiveness.The measured results including radiated pattern and isolation of T/R array are in good agreement with simulation results and demonstrate the high isolation and low sidelobe properties of the waveguide antenna array.
