In the later stage of the Red Army's Long March,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China gradually restored the central secret work leadership body,strengthened the secret work in the white areas and the construction of the underground party's secret organizations,and gradually transformed the work strategy of the covert front in the white areas.They attached importance to the military confidentiality work dur-ing the eastward and westward expeditions of the Red Army's First Front,required a proper handling of the re-lationship between public work and secret work,actively resumed the secret telegraph communication with the Communist International,and so on.The successful development of these secret work laid the foundation for the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Central Red Army to finally settle in northern Shaanxi,and also made the secret organization of the Party in the White district to be preserved and gradually developed,and accumulated strength for the national War of resistance against Japanese aggression.
