Chronic gastritis is a common disease of the digestive system that can cause various gastrointestinal symptoms and af-fect quality of life.Among its subtypes,chronic atrophic gastritis with intestinal metaplasia and intraepithelial neoplasia is an im-portant target for secondary prevention of gastric cancer.Integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and treat-ment demonstrate complementary advantages across multiple aspects,including etiological diagnosis,symptom relief,mucosal re-pair,intervention in precancerous lesions,and relapse prevention.This approach not only improves clinical efficacy but also en-hances patients' quality of life.This consensus statement,Consensus on the Integrated Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Gastri-tis with Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine,was developed to promote the concept of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine diagnosis and treatment,advance the development of integrated diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for chron-ic gastritis,and establish standardized and normalized protocols for disease prevention,diagnosis,and treatment,with the aim of improving the diagnostic and management level of clinicians in China for this common disease.
