To improve the efficiency of water resources management and optimize the business environment,this study carries out a regional assessment of water resources demonstration for the Xiuwen Economic Development Zone in Guizhou based on the current water-resources conditions and the regional industrial development plan.By analyzing the total amount of water resources in Xiuwen County,the current status of development and utilization,and the water intake and return conditions in the development zone,the compliance of water-resource control indicators in the development zone was evaluated.The water demand of the development zone in 2030 was predicted by using the water-consumption-per-ten-thousand-yuan industrial added value method and the unit land area method,and the water-supply capacity of sources such as Taoyuan Reservoir was demonstrated.On this basis,water-saving evaluations were conducted for key enterprises in the development zone.It is suggested to accelerate the construction of industrial wastewater treatment plants and optimize the water-supply allocation of Taoyuan Reservoir so as to further improve water-use efficiency.The results can provide reference for similar regional assessments of water resources demonstration in other development zones.
