Pomelo is an important cash crop in southern China,and its export trade is often hindered by pesticide residue issues.In this study,the maximum residue limits(MRLs)for pesticides in pomelo established by China,Food Standards Australia New Zealand(FSANZ)were systematically reviewed and analyzed.The results showed that there were 151 pesticide residue limit indicators in the current Chinese standards and 191 in the Australian standards;The two sides share 62 common indicators(accounting for 41.06％of the Chinese indicators and 32.46％of the Australian indicators).Among these,13 indicators have identical limit value,26 are more stringent in China(for example,trichlorfon is 15 times stricter),and 23 are more stringent in Australia(for example,oxamyl and phosmet are 100 times stricter).In addition,89 MRLs are unique to China and 129 are unique to Australia.Overall,Australian standards are stricter.Although over 75％of the limits in both countries are concentrated in the low residue limit range(0.01～1 mg/kg),Australian standards have a larger number of limits and include a rule that unspecified pesticides must not be detected.Considering the current absence of Chinese honey pomelo exports to the Australian market,the study suggests to focus on the pesticide indicators for whi risk assessment and improving pesticide registration and MRLs standard system for Chinese honey pomelo would provide technical support for promoting honey pomelo exports to the Australian market.ch the Australian standards are stricter than those of China.Strengthening.
