During the 14th Five-Year Plan period,Shandong's pesticide industry leveraged its scale advantages to accelerate large-scale and green development by relocating enterprises to industrial parks,phasing out outdated production capacity and highly toxic pesticides,and promoting pesticide innovation.This transformation guided the industry towards high-efficiency,low-risk,and biological pesticides.As the industry steps into the 15th Five-Year Plan period,it faces multiple challenges,including capacity optimization and green innovation.To address these issues,it is recommended to foster leading enterprises through mergers and acquisitions,focus on green innovations such as proprietary pesticides,biopesticides,and nano-formulations,and promote the transformation of the entire industrial chain toward service-oriented and intelligent development.This will help build a safe,green and efficient modern pesticide industrial system,enabling the province to evolve from being a major pesticide province to becoming a strong province in the sector.
