Stroke,a common clinical cerebrovascular disease,is often complicated by deep vein thrombosis(DVT)in the lower limbs,putting patients at risk of pulmonary embolism or sudden death.WANG Yougang believes that patients with this condition suffer from congenital deficiencies or acquired malnutrition,leading to Yang deficiency of the spleen and kidney,blood stasis,and water retention,which easily form thrombus obstructing the vessels.In response to this etiology and pathogenesis,WANG Yougang adopts the treatment principle of"unblocking Yang,regulating Qi,resolving blood stasis and promoting diuresis".He applies Tongdu Tiaoren acupuncture and moxibustion method combined with warm acupuncture and prescribes a self-formulated Tongyang Lishui prescription.The combination of acupuncture and herbal medicine effectively resolves thrombi,improves lower limb circulation in stroke patients,and achieves significant clinical efficacy.
