Yiqi Huoxue Lishui Decoction,an empirical formula developed by CHEN Kunshan,has shown marked efficacy in the treatment of cirrhotic ascites and has been used as a hospital preparation for over 20 years.DAI Qi,inheriting CHEN's diagnostic and therapeutic principles,applied this classic formula in a novel manner,achieved surprising efficacy with an ingenious approach.This paper explores the application of Yiqi Huoxue Lishui Decoction in the treatment of cirrhotic ascites through the analysis of two medical cases.
