Impacts of Climate Change and Human Activities on Water-Sediment Variation in Ganjiang River

水沙变化是影响河流生态健康的重要因素.近年来,在气候变化和人类活动共同作用下,赣江水沙特征发生明显变化.为探明赣江水沙变化特征及其成因,基于1960-2018年赣江流域40个气象站点资料和赣江水文数据,梳理不同时期水沙变化特征,并定量分析水沙变化归因.结果表明,赣江流域降水量和径流量均呈不显著增加趋势,输沙量呈显著减少趋势;降水-径流关系随时间变化的差异明显小于降水-输沙量关系,尤其是万安水库建成后,二者差异更加明显.万安水库减沙主要发生在3-10月,其中3-6月减沙量占全年的77.3%;赣江干流大型水库减沙能力明显强于支流大型水库.总体来看,气候变化是径流量增加的主要原因,人类活动对径流量变化和输沙量减少起主导作用.研究成果可为赣江流域水沙调控、水库运行管理和河流生态保护提供参考.

Water-sediment variation is an important factor affecting river ecological health.In recent years,under the combined effects of climate change and human activities,the water-sediment characteristics of the Ganjiang River have changed significantly.To investigate the water-sediment variation characteristics and their causes in the Ganjiang River,this paper is based on data from 40 meteorological stations in the Ganjiang River basin and Ganjiang River hydrological data from 1960 to 2018,sorting out water-sediment variation characteristics in different periods and quantitatively analyzing the attribution of water-sediment variation.The results show that precipitation and runoff in the Ganjiang River basin both show a non-significant increasing trend,while sediment transport shows a significant decreasing trend;the difference in precipitation-runoff relationship over time is significantly smaller than that in precipitation-sediment transport relationship,especially after the construction of the Wan′an Reservoir,where the difference becomes even more pronounced.Sediment reduction by the Wan′an Reservoir mainly occurs from March to October,of which the sediment reduction from March to June accounts for 77.3%of the annual total;large reservoirs on the main stream of the Ganjiang River have significantly stronger sediment reduction capacity than those on tributaries.Overall,climate change is the main cause of the increase in runoff,while human activities play a dominant role in runoff variation and sediment transport reduction.The research results can provide reference for water-sediment regulation,reservoir operation management,and river ecological protection in the Ganjiang River basin.
