The Expansion of the Category of the"Collective Worker"in the Era of Algorithmic Management and Its Implications for Labor Relations

算法管理重塑数字劳动,使其呈现空间分散、身份多元、关系模糊和过程数据化特征.就此情景下劳动者能否构成"总体工人"这一核心问题,本文回溯马克思关于协作、分工、机器体系与资本统摄的经典论述,认为关键并不在于物理集中,而在于资本组织逻辑下所催生的社会化劳动总体.平台、算法和数据基础设施并未消解这一逻辑,而是以技术方式连接分散劳动、规定劳动节奏、转化劳动成果并占有共同收益.由此,平台、数据、内容、知识及服务劳动者构成新的社会化劳动结构.该范畴有助于揭示劳动分散与生产总体化、自主表象与算法控制、共同生产与平台占有的矛盾,为劳动关系认定、算法规制、数据权益保护和劳动者组织化提供依据.

Algorithmic management reshapes digital labor,endowing it with characteristics of spatial dispersion,diverse worker identities,ambiguous labor relations and data-based labor processes.Centering on the core question of whether workers under such circumstances can constitute the"collective worker",this paper revisits Marx's classic expositions on cooperation,division of labor,machinery systems and capital domination.It argues that the defining criterion lies not in physical spatial concentration,but in the socialized totality of labor generated under the organizational logic of capital.Platforms,algorithms and data infrastructure do not eliminate this logic;instead,they connect scattered labor through technological means,set labor rhythms,convert labor outputs and appropriate collective surplus value.Therefore,platforms,data,content,knowledge and service workers together form a new structure of socialized labor.This analytical category helps unpack the contradictions between fragmented labor and totalized production,superficial autonomy and algorithmic control,as well as collaborative production and platform appropriation.It also provides a theoretical basis for the identification of labor relations,algorithmic regulation,protection of data rights and interests,and the organization of workers.
