贺兰山地区位于鄂尔多斯盆地西北缘,三叠系延长组分布广泛,但沉积时代缺乏年代学约束,这在一定程度上制约了该时期区域地层对比、沉积环境及原盆面貌恢复.本文通过研究区凝灰岩与玄武岩联合年代学分析,约束该区延长组的沉积时限.针对延长组下部和上部两套薄层凝灰岩及其顶部的玄武岩,开展薄片鉴定、主微量元素分析和LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb定年研究,并结合构造判别图限定沉积时代与构造环境.延长组下部凝灰岩锆石加权平均年龄为244.1±1.7 Ma,上部凝灰岩加权平均年龄为201.9±2.2 Ma;延长组顶部玄武岩最年轻岩浆锆石年龄为201.5~194.1 Ma.地球化学特征表明凝灰岩来源于弧型钙碱性火山物质,玄武岩为拉斑玄武岩,具有受板块俯冲改造的富集幔源特征,形成于板内拉张构造背景.凝灰岩与玄武岩锆石U-Pb联合定年共同限定了延长组沉积时限为中-晚三叠世,与鄂尔多斯盆地内部延长组沉积时期具有可比性.两者地球化学特征反映区域构造环境由俯冲相关活动大陆边缘弧环境向后期陆内伸展环境的转变.该研究为鄂尔多斯盆地西北缘延长组区域地层对比和沉积面貌、构造环境恢复提供了重要依据.

The Helan Mountains lie along the northwestern margin of the Ordos Basin,where the Triassic Yanchang Formation is widely exposed but still lacks tight geochronologic control.This uncertainty limits regional correlation and hinders reconstruction of depositional systems and basin paleogeography.Here we bracket the depositional interval of the Yanchang Formation using paired zircon U-Pb ages from two thin tuff beds(lower and upper Yanchang)and the basalt that caps the succession.We integrate petrography,whole-rock major and trace element geochemistry,and LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb dating,and we use tectonic discrimination diagrams to evaluate magma provenance and tectonic setting.Zircons from the lower and upper tuffs yield weighted mean ages of 244.1±1.7 Ma and 201.9±2.2 Ma,respectively,whereas the youngest magmatic zircons from the capping basalt give ages of 201.5~194.1 Ma.Geochemical signatures indicate that the tuffs were sourced from arc-related,calc-alkaline volcanism,and that the basalt is tholeiitic,derived from an enriched mantle source overprinted by subduction-related modification,yet emplaced during intracontinental extension.Together,these ages constrain deposition of the Yanchang Formation in the Helan Mountains to the Middle-Late Triassic,broadly comparable to the depositional timing of the Yanchang Formation in the basin interior.The combined geochronologic and geochemical data further point to a regional tectonic shift from a subduction-related active continental margin arc setting to post-orogenic intracontinental extension.These results provide a firm temporal framework for stratigraphic correlation and for reconstructing depositional architecture and tectonic evolution along the northwestern Ordos Basin margin.
