This article systematically elaborates on the experience of National Chinese Medicine Master Professor Xiong Jibo(hereafter respectfully referred to as Master Xiong)in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary nodules,in order to provide practical guidance for the syndrome differentiation-based treatment of pulmonary nodules.Master Xiong has deeply studied the classics of traditional Chinese medicine and adhered to the philosophy of"upholding fundamental principles while innovating".He innovatively expands the theory of"nest-like cysts"and applies the classic theory of"phlegm mixed with blood stasis forms nest-like cysts"in Danxi's Mastery of Medicine to the clinical diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary nodules.Master Xiong believes that pulmonary nodules are essentially"nest-like cysts"formed by the long-term cementation of turbid phlegm and blood stasis,with the main pathogenesis of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis caused by dysfunction of the lung,liver,and spleen.The key points for syndrome differentiation are"distin-guishing phlegm and stasis,distinguishing cold and heat,and distinguishing deficiency and excess",and the main treat-ment principle is"simultaneous treatment of phlegm and stasis".Master Xiong advocates the prevention and treatment concept of"preventing disease progression and complications after onset and preventing recurrence after recovery".A proven case is attached for reference.
