High-Fidelity Simulation and Experimental Validation of Composite Hinges for Near-Space VehiclesOA
This paper addresses the critical need for accurate mechanical characterization of hinge assemblies in nearspace vehicles.Focusing on static strength and load-bearing capacity,we developed a high-fidelity finite element model of a composite hinge system.Ground-based static tests were conducted to validate the model''s predictive capability under specified loading conditions. The simulation results demonstrated excellent agreement with experimental data, with a maximum relative error rate of 4%and an average error rate of I.26%across key strain measurements. This validated model provides a robust theoretical foundation for design optimization and safety certification of such critical aerospace structures.
