Breast cancer falls under the category of"liver stone"and"liver tumor"in traditional Chinese medicine.Its core pathogenesis is closely related to the disharmony of the lower energizer.Based on the theory of"treating the lower energizer with the principle of heavy sinking"from Wu Jutong's Systematized Identification of Warm Diseases in the Qing Dynasty,Professor Jiang Shiqing holds that the core pathogenesis of breast cancer primarily manifests as root deficiency and branch excess with the lower energizer disharmony.Liver-kidney deficiency is considered the fundamental cause of the disease,while the accumulation of phlegm,stasis,and toxin is the manifestation of the disease.The disease progression and transmission are highly consistent with the three-energizer ascending transmission law proposed by Wu Jutong.The treatment adheres to the classic principle of"Treating the lower energizer with heavy sinking;without heavy agents,it will not descend",with the core treatment methods of warming and nourishing liver and kidney,soothing liver and regulating qi,and using heavy herbs to regulate balance.Clinical practice demonstrates that this approach can effectively improve the postoperative physical condition of breast cancer patients,alleviate adverse reactions related to anti-tumor therapy,inhibit postoperative recurrence and metastasis,and prolong survival.This theory combines the classical theories of traditional Chinese medicine with modern tumor clinical practice,providing an effective whole-course traditional Chinese medicine treatment strategy for middle-and advanced-stage breast cancer,and demonstrating the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the prevention and treatment of malignant tumors.
