物欲何以影响善举?物质主义价值观与高职生亲社会行为:一个链式中介模型OA

Objective:This study aims to explore the relationship between materialistic values and prosocial behavior among vocational college students,as well as the mediating roles of self-esteem and meaning in life.Methods:A total of 1114 vocational college students were surveyed using the material values scale,Rosenberg self-esteem scale,meaning in life questionnaire Chinese version,and prosocial tendency measurement scale for adolescents.Results:(1)Materialistic values were significantly negatively correlated with self-esteem,meaning in life,and prosocial behavior,while self-esteem,meaning in life,and prosocial behavior were positively correlated with each other.(2)Materialistic values directly affected prosocial behavior and also exerted indirect effects through three pathways:the independent mediation of self-esteem,the independent mediation of meaning in life,and the chain mediation of self-esteem and meaning in life.Conclusion:The re-sults reveal the impact of materialistic values on prosocial behavior among vocational college students and its underlying mechanism.This study provides a new perspective for mental health education and moral education in vocational colleges.
