川西里伍矿田两期石榴子石Sm-Nd等时线年龄及成因OA
Sm-Nd isochron ages and genesis of two-stage garnets in the Liwu Ore Field,western Sichuan Province
里伍矿田位于松潘-甘孜造山带东南缘的江浪穹隆核部,是四川省第二大铜多金属资源基地.这些高品位的层状铜矿床均产于新元古代里伍岩群变质岩系之中,并发育两类产状截然不同的石榴子石:(1)不含矿的细粒变形石榴子石,粒径普遍介于1~5 mm,沿S2 面理定向分布且遍及里伍岩群围岩;(2)含矿的粗晶未变形石榴子石,粒径通常介于5~25 mm,切割 S2 面理且仅存在于最深部的矿化蚀变带.为了精确厘定石榴子石的形成时代并探讨其成因,本文开展了电子探针分析与Sm-Nd同位素定年工作.测试结果表明,细粒变形石榴子石的端元组分主要为铁铝榴石(平均82.08%)、钙铝榴石(平均8.04%)和镁铝榴石(平均 8.30%),Sm-Nd等时线年龄为(185±29)Ma(n=4,MSWD=0.55);粗晶未变形石榴子石的端元组分主要包括铁铝榴石(平均 71.35%)、钙铝榴石(平均 8.34%)、镁铝榴石(平均 6.73%)和锰铝榴石(平均13.55%),Sm-Nd等时线年龄为(168±17)Ma(n=4,MSWD=2.0).结合前人研究成果,本文认为细粒变形石榴子石属变质成因,形成于松潘-甘孜造山带约 204~180 Ma峰期变质作用;粗晶未变形石榴子石属热液成因,与江浪穹隆约164~159 Ma岩浆热液活动直接相关.根据已有勘查资料,提出富含粗晶未变形石榴子石的标志性层位很可能是里伍矿田后生成矿的岩浆热液主通道,位于其下的深部层位成矿条件有限.
The Liwu Ore Field,situated in the core of the Jianglang Dome on the southeastern margin of the Songpan-Ganze orogenic belt,is the second-largest copper-polymetallic resource base in Sichuan Province.These high-grade stratiform copper deposits are hosted within the Neoproterozoic metamorphic series of the Liwu Complex,where two types of garnet with distinct modes of occurrence have been identified:(1)Fine-grained,deformed garnets that are barren of mineralization.These garnets,with grain sizes commonly ranging from 1 to 5 mm,are oriented along the S2 foliation and are ubiquitous in the wall rocks of the Liwu Complex.(2)Coarse-grained,undeformed garnets that are associated with mineralization.These garnets,with grain sizes commonly ranging from 5 to 25 mm,cross-cut the S2 foliation and are exclusively found within the deepest mineralized alteration zones.To precisely determine the formation age and genesis of the garnets,this study conducted electron probe microanalysis(EPMA)for major element compositions and Sm-Nd isotopic dating.The analytical results indicate that the fine-grained and deformed garnets are primarily composed of almandine(with an average weight percentage of 82.08%),grossular(avg.8.04%),and pyrope(avg.8.30%),yielding a Sm-Nd isochron age of(185±29)Ma(MSWD=0.55,n=4).In contrast,the coarse-grained and undeformed garnets are mainly composed of almandine(avg.71.35%),grossular(avg.8.34%),pyrope(avg.6.73%),and spessartine(avg.13.55%),yielding a Sm-Nd isochron age of(168±17)Ma(MSWD=2.0,n=4).Integrated with previous research findings,we propose that the fine-grained and deformed garnets are of metamorphic origin,formed during ca.204~180 Ma peak metamorphism of the Songpan-Ganze orogenic belt.Conversely,the coarse-grained and undeformed garnets are of hydrothermal origin,directly related to ca.164~159 Ma magmatic-hydrothermal activity in the Jianglang Dome.Based on available exploration data,we suggest that the stratigraphic horizon enriched in coarse-grained and undeformed garnets likely represents the main magmatic-hydrothermal pathway for epigenetic mineralization in the Liwu Ore Field,implying that the mineralization potential of the underlying deeper strata may be limited.
