清代医家尤怡生平事迹考OA

Existing research on You Yi(尤怡),a distinguished Qing Dynasty physician,has mainly focused on expounding his medical theories and clinical practice.However,dedicated textual research and in-depth investigation of his life remain severely understudied,representing a critical gap in the field.Current biographical accounts are largely cursory,relying on limited sources,and contain ambiguities,errors and contradictions.To date,no coherent,well-evidenced biographical framework of You Yi has been established.Adopting empirical textual criticism,this study systematically collates and verifies You Yi's life trajectory and key deeds based on first-hand materials,including his own writings,works by his mentors and peers,and personal correspondence.It not only corrects long-standing errors regarding his birth year and courtesy names,but also breaks the mono-disciplinary medical research paradigm by integrating medical history,philology,historiography and sociology.Placing You Yi in the specific socio-cultural context of the mid-Qing Dynasty,this paper reconstructs his complete life and spiritual essence as an independent scholar,thus broadening the humanistic scope of You Yi studies.
