This paper is based on the fundamental task of"fostering virtue through education"and the talent needs of the an-imal husbandry and veterinary industry,and explores the practical paths for integrating ideological and political elements into the assessment system of the course Veterinary Surgery Science.Through a two-dimensional approach of theoretical and prac-tical assessments,it systematically analyzes the cultivation mechanisms for professional ethics,humanistic care,and social re-sponsibility.The theoretical assessment relies on case analysis,ethical judgment,and a database of typical cases to strengthen the understanding of animal welfare and awareness of relevant regulations.The practical assessment,through standardized oper-ations,decision-making training,and teamwork,achieves the coordinated improvement of professional qualities and value guid-ance,providing support for the cultivation of veterinary talents with both excellent medical skills and medical ethics.
