The discipline of regional country studies is a new field for colleges and universities with energy characteristics to serve the national strategy,and it is also a new opportunity for its discipline layout and devel-opment.It is the only way for universities with industrial characteristics to construct this related discipline by entering into the field of regional and national studies,carrying out the construction of special disciplines,and realizing the dislocation development and fusion innovation.Taking advantage of its geographical location and depending on the discipline characteristics of the university,Xi'an Shiyou University actively planed the lay-out,explored the construction path of"energy characteristics and cultural-engineering intersection"of regional country studies from the aspects of discipline development,talent training,think tank services,cooperation and exchange,and accumulated useful experience for the development of the discipline characteristics of regional national studies in universities.
