In the era of generative AI,the widespread application of technology is sparking profound discussions on how to cultivate individuals amidst the transformation of the technological environment.The affirmation of a"poetic childhood"is not only a defense of the ideal form of childhood but also a clarification of the values underlying the relationship between human development and technological application.In the age of generative AI,the poetic childhood faces a cognitive crisis,shifting from meaning construction to meaning reception;a crisis in personality development,transitioning from value internalization to surface-level extraction;and a crisis in relational interaction,moving from emotional resonance to emotional simulation.Early reading bears the humanistic mission of mitigating these crises and safeguarding the poetic childhood.This is not only an inherent requirement of education aimed at"cultivating whole individuals"but also an inevitable choice for nurturing the romantic humanistic qualities of children.In terms of feasibility,early reading possesses the characteristics of embodied meaning construction,narrative value internalization,and emotional relational interaction,which can respectively align with the core cognitive mechanism,the personality formation mechanism,and the essence of social-emotional development for preserving poetic childhood in the era of generative AI.In terms of practical pathways,we should implement the principle of meaning creation to establish children's absolute subjectivity in human-machine interaction;build a human-machine integrated reading ecology to create a narrative space for value internalization;and construct an intersubjective interaction field to facilitate children's"subject-object-subject"practice.
