Against the backdrop of escalating complexity and volatility in global energy markets,enhancing the resilience of the energy industry chain has emerged as a critical strategic imperative.Cultivating and developing new quality productivity(NQP)represents not only an intrinsic requirement and pivotal lever for fostering high-quality development,but also a vital mechanism for bolstering the resil-ience of the energy industry chain.Based on a systematic clarification of the theoretical mechanisms through which NQP reinforces en-ergy industry chain resilience,this paper conducts an empirical assessment using a balanced provincial panel dataset of China spanning from 2011 to 2022 across three dimensions:baseline effects,heterogeneous impacts,and transmission mechanisms.The empirical findings indicate that the development of NQP significantly drives the resilience improvement of the energy industry chain.Heterogenei-ty analyses reveal that this enabling effect exhibits substantial variations conditioned on resource endowments and capital mismatch lev-els;specifically,the positive impact of NQP is more pronounced in resource-based regions and areas characterized by lower degrees of capital mismatch.Furthermore,mechanism testing demonstrates that industrial structure upgrading plays a key positive moderating role through which NQP empowers energy industry chain resilience,whereas market segmentation exerts a significant negative moderating effect on this relationship.
