Salvia plebeia R.Br.,a herbaceous plant with rich value and dual use in medicine and food,is abundant in various chemical constituents,among which flavonoid compounds are primary active ingredients.In recent years,the majority of research has focused on the plant itself,with relatively few reports on flavonoids.This review summarizes the flavonoid components of Salvia plebeia R.Br.from domestic and international literature,as well as their extraction processes and pharmacological effects,and analyzes the potential advantages and application prospects,laying a foundation for further in-depth research and development.
