With the acceleration of the pace of society,increased work and life stress,and reduced physical activity,sinew injury diseases have become common and frequently occurring conditions.These diseases primarily refer to pathologi-cal changes in the joints,bones,muscles,nerves,and other tissues along the pathways of the twelve sinew meridians,with pain and limited movement as the main clinical manifestations,severely affecting patients'physical and mental health and quality of life.Based on the theories of"opposing needling","contralateral needling",and"treating the left side for diseases on the right"from the Huangdi Neijing,combined with years of clinical practice experience,Jiang Lili has summarized and innovatively proposed the"technique of layered multi-directional penetrating acupuncture at the corresponding point on the healthy side using a single needle".This technique is applicable to sinew injury diseases such as neck,shoulder,lower back,and leg pain,as well as other soft tissue injuries.It features rapid onset of action,simple operation,quick needling without re-taining the needle,minimal discomfort,and low cost,making it well accepted by patients.This paper elucidates the theoreti-cal connotations of opposing needling and contralateral needling,explores the mechanisms of treating sinew injury diseases with these theories,and introduces the specific operational methods and clinical characteristics of this distinctive technique of layered multi-directional penetrating acupuncture at the corresponding point on the healthy side using a single needle through three clinical case examples,aiming to provide a reference for its clinical promotion and application.
