Spatiotemporal variation and influencing factors of phytoplankton communities in the waterways of Chongming Island

为探究上海崇明岛河道浮游植物群落的时空变化及其影响因子,于2019-2021年(因疫情缺失2020年夏季数据)对全岛24个监测点的浮游植物群落结构与水质因子进行季度性调查,结合多样性指数、优势种判别和冗余分析(RDA)等方法,系统解析了群落结构特征及驱动因子.结果表明:共鉴定出浮游植物7门236种,以硅藻、绿藻和裸藻为主;优势种包括3门14种,其中蓝藻门占比最高(42.96%),硅藻门和绿藻门各占28.57%;浮游植物丰度变化范围为3.49×106~2.17×107cell/L,群落结构整体呈现向硅藻-蓝藻-绿藻型演替的趋势;总生物量为0.927~4.794 mg/L,其中硅藻生物量占比持续上升,而蓝藻占比明显下降;RDA分析表明,盐度(Sal)和 pH 为显著影响群落结构的水质因子(P<0.05);Shannon-Wiener 多样性指数(H')为 1.50~2.61,Margalef丰富度指数(D)为1.02~2.24,、Pielou均匀度指数(J)为0.44~0.79,水质总体处于中营养状态,但局部区域已呈现出富营养化及污染特征.研究表明,崇明岛河道浮游植物群落结构时空异质性显著,受盐度、pH和营养盐共同调控,并存在一定富营养化风险.本研究可为崇明岛水生态治理、富营养化防控与生物多样性保护提供科学依据.

To investigate the spatiotemporal variations of phytoplankton communities and their influencing factors in the waterways of Chongming Island,this study conducted quarterly surveys on phytoplankton community structure and water quality factors at 24 monitoring sites across the island from 2019 to 2021(data for Summer 2020 was missing due to the COVID-19 pandemic).Using methods such as diversity indices,dominant species identification,and Redundancy Analysis(RDA),the characteristics and driving factors of the community structure were systematically analyzed.The results showed that a total of 236 phytoplankton species,belonging to 7 phyla,were identified,primarily dominated by Bacillariophyta,Chlorophyta,and Euglenophyta.The dominant species comprised 14 species from 3 phyla,with Cyanobacteria accounting for the highest proportion(42.96%),followed by Bacillariophyta and Chlorophyta(each 28.57%).Phytoplankton abundance ranged from 3.49×106 to 2.17×107 cells/L,with the overall community structure showing a successional trend towards a Bacillariophyta-Cyanobacteria-Chlorophyta type.Total biomass ranged from 0.927 to 4.794 mg/L,with the proportion of Bacillariophyta biomass continuously increasing,while that of Cyanobacteria decreased significantly.RDA indicated that salinity(Sal)and pH were the significant water quality factors affecting community structure(P<0.05).The Shannon-Wiener index(H')ranged from 1.50 to 2.61,the Margalef richness index(D)from 1.02 to 2.24,and the Pielou evenness index(J)from 0.44 to 0.79,suggesting the overall water quality was generally mesotrophic,specific regions display distinct signs of eutrophication and pollution.The study demonstrates significant spatiotemporal heterogeneity in the phytoplankton community structure of Chongming Island's waterways,regulated by the combined effects of Sal,pH,and nutrients,indicating a certain risk of eutrophication.This research can provide a scientific basis for water ecological management,eutrophication prevention and control,and biodiversity conservation in Chongming Island.
