Qiongzhou Xiangyin(Qiongzhou Local Accent),a Hainan overseas Chinese journal and hometown newslet-ter,consolidates the sense of community for the Chinese nation from three dimensions:building co-presence field,evok-ing resonant emotions,and promoting symbiotic practices.The sense of community for the Chinese nation has in turn been translated into powerful practical forces for hometown development,which is specifically reflected in the upgrading of overseas Chinese remittances into industrial capital,the transformation of hometown sentiment feedback into institution-alized donation,and the expansion of hometown fellowship into a global network of overseas Chinese compatriots.Through local narration,emotional mobilization,and practical guidance,the journal converts overseas Chinese people's homesickness into economic resources,public welfare actions,and transnational communication networks,and estab-lishes a community mechanism featuring in-depth interaction between"overseas Chinese"and"hometown".It also offers valuable reference for running overseas Chinese journals in Hainan in the new era.
