Characteristics of spatiotemporal distributions and environmental parameters of short duration heavy rainfall in different areas of Shandong during the past 32 years
本文利用1991-2022年山东122个国家级地面气象站逐小时降水量和欧洲中期天气预报中心(European Centre for Medium-range Weather Forecasts,ECMWF)开发的 ERA5 再分析资料,分析了山东省短时强降水(Short-duration Heavy Rainfall,SDHR)的时空分布和环境参数特征.结果表明:(1)山东受地形差异影响,不同地区SDHR表现特征不同.鲁西北地区(平原)SDHR降水量对总降水量的贡献率最大;位于山地南侧的鲁东南地区SDHR年均频次多、极端降水强度强,而位于山地北侧的鲁中北部地区,年均频次少、降水强度弱;半岛地区南部SDHR降水频次和强度明显高于北部.(2)SDHR有较明显的日变化;站均频次的日峰值主要为清晨和傍晚(鲁南地区除外),夜间极端SDHR雨量值明显大于白天.(3)不同地区SDHR有明显的季节变化特征;春季的极端SDHR主要出现在鲁中的中北部和鲁南的部分地区,而秋季主要出现在半岛地区.(4)水汽参数对SDHR的发生具有更显著的指示意义.850 hPa比湿、整层大气可降水量和K指数可作为山东7-8月SDHR的参考依据,动力参数不能单独作为SDHR发生的有利条件,需要结合水汽参数和热力参数进行综合分析.
This study utilizes hourly precipitation data from 122 national ground meteorological stations in Shandong,covering the period of 1991 to 2022,in conjunction with the ERA5 reanalysis data developed by the European Centre for Medium-range Weather Forecasts(ECMWF),to investigate the spatiotemporal distribution and environmental characteristics of Short-duration Heavy Rainfall(SDHR)in Shandong Province.It is found that Shandong's diverse topography results in distinct characteristics of SDHR across different regions.The northwestern Shandong region(plain)has the highest contribution rate of SDHR to the total precipitation.In the southeastern Shandong region,which is located on the southern flank of the central Shandong mountainous area,SDHR exhibits high annual frequencies and extreme precipitation intensities.SDHR in the central-northern Shandong region shows the characteristics opposite to that in the southeastern Shandong region.The frequency and intensity of SDHR precipitation in the southern part of the Shandong Peninsula are significantly higher than those in the northern part.SDHR in Shandong shows relatively distinct diurnal variation characteristics.The station-averaged SDHR frequency peaks primarily occur in the early morning and late afternoon,with the exception of the southern Shandong region.The rainfall amounts for extreme SDHR events during the nighttime are significantly greater than those during the daytime.Different regions in Shandong exhibit distinct seasonal characteristics in SDHR.In spring,extreme SDHR events are mainly located in the central and northern parts of central Shandong as well as certain areas in southern Shandong,while in autumn,extreme SDHR events are predominantly found in the peninsula region.Water vapor parameters are significantly indicative of the occurrence of SDHR in Shandong.850 hPa specific humidity,precipitable water vapor,and K index can be used as a reference for SDHR in Shandong during July and August.Dynamic parameters alone cannot serve as favorable conditions for SDHR.A comprehensive analysis must be conducted in conjunction with water vapor parameters and thermodynamic parameters.
