Effects of X-Ray Irradiation on the Growth and Physiology of Glehnia Radix Seedlings

为研究X射线辐照对北沙参(Glehniae Radix,Beishashen)幼苗生长及生理生化的影响,采用不同剂量(0、20、40、60、80、100、120、150 Gy)的X射线对北沙参干种子进行辐照处理,随后种植并观测其生长情况.通过统计不同辐照剂量下种子的出苗率与幼苗存活率,测定幼苗叶片数、根长等形态指标以及叶绿素、脯氨酸(Pro)和丙二醛(MDA)含量等生理生化指标,系统分析辐照对北沙参幼苗的影响.结果显示,X射线辐照对北沙参幼苗的影响呈剂量依赖性.低剂量(20 Gy)辐照对部分形态和生理指标影响较小;中高剂量(40 Gy及以上)处理多数表现出抑制作用,在出苗率、存活率及根系生长等方面尤为明显;高剂量(80 Gy及以上)辐照则显著抑制幼苗生长,导致出苗率和存活率急剧下降.综合各项指标,认为北沙参X射线辐照诱变育种的潜在适宜剂量范围为20~40 Gy.

To study the effects of X-ray irradiation on the growth,physiology,and biochemistry of Glehniae Radix(Beishashen)seedlings,dry seeds were irradiated with different doses of X-rays(0,20,40,60,80,100,120,and 150 Gy)and subsequently planted for growth observation.Germination rate and seedling survival rate under different irradiation doses were recorded.Morphological indicators such as leaf number and root length,as well as physiological and bio-chemical parameters including chlorophyll,proline(Pro),and malondialdehyde(MDA)contents,were measured to sys-tematically analyze the effects of irradiation on Glehniae Radix seedlings.The results showed that the effects of X-ray irradiation on Glehniae Radix seedlings were dose-dependent.Low-dose irradiation(20 Gy)had minimal impact on cer-tain morphological and physiological indicators.Medium to high doses(40 Gy and above)generally exhibited inhibitory effects,which were particularly evident in terms of germination rate,survival rate,and root growth.High-dose irradiation(80 Gy and above)significantly suppressed seedling growth,leading to a sharp decline in both germination and survival rates.Based on a comprehensive evaluation of all indicators,the potential suitable dose range for X-ray irradiation-induced mutation breeding in Glehniae Radix is suggested to be 20-40 Gy.
