In 2024-2025,National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA)achieved a series of significant milestones across deep-space exploration,human spaceflight,and aeronautics.Guided by its Moon to Mars exploration approach,NASA continued to advance the Artemis campaign through criti-cal system integration,mission preparation,and sustained development of key elements,including the Gateway lunar platform,the Commercial Lunar Payload Services(CLPS)initiative,and associated lu-nar surface exploration capabilities.As part of the agency's Golden Age of innovation and exploration,international collaboration further expanded during this period,NASA and its partners landed two robotic science missions on the Moon;garnered more signatories for the Artemis Accords with 59 na-tions.In Low Earth Orbit(LEO),the International Space Station(ISS)reached its 25th anniversary of continuous human presence while accelerating the transition toward commercial orbital platforms.NASA also led a variety of science discoveries and technological outcomes.In Earth science,a joint U.S.-India satellite mission enhanced global monitoring of terrestrial ecosystems and cryospheric dynamics.In deep-space communications,the successful demonstration of laser-based communications substantially in-creased data transmission capabilities.In planetary defense,the third interstellar object in our solar sys-tem was identified and tracked.In aeronautics,the first flight test of the X-59 low-boom supersonic air-craft and continued progress in hypersonic technologies and Urban Air Mobility(UAM)underscored NASA's role in next-generation aviation innovation.Despite these achievements,NASA faces mounting challenges.Budgetary constraints,program cost growth,and schedule delays—particularly in flagship ex-ploration programs—pose risks to long-term mission sustainability.As NASA transitions toward a hy-brid model integrating governmental leadership with commercial service provision,its future trajectory will depend on balancing fiscal discipline,technological ambition,and international collaboration.This paper reviews these major accomplishments and concludes with an addendum on NASA's current bud-get challenges,providing a strategic framework for understanding the agency's current state and future trajectory.
