海南文昌第四系沉积物粒度特征对砂矿型锆铪矿成矿环境的指示OA
Indication of sedimentary environment by particle size of ore-bearing sediments from Quaternary Zr-Hf deposits in Wenchang,Hainan
砂矿型锆铪矿是中国工业生产锆铪的主要原料.海南文昌地区发育有一系列砂矿型锆铪矿,是中国重要的锆铪矿产地,矿床主要赋存于第四系烟墩组、八所组、北海组沉积物中,沿海岸线连片分布,并经河流水系向内陆延伸.明确含矿沉积物的沉积环境对于该区找矿勘查具有重要意义.文章以海南文昌地区第四系含锆铪沉积物为主要对象,分析含矿沉积物粒度特征,并开展粒度端元分析,进而探讨第四系砂矿型锆铪矿沉积环境.结果表明,海南文昌地区第四系砂矿型锆铪矿含矿沉积物平均粒径为粉砂(5.85~6.85 Ф),北海组粒度最粗、八所组次之、烟墩组最细,剖面上由古至新粒度逐渐变细.总体上,第四系沉积物分选程度中等至差,粒径分布较集中,与平均粒径相比,粗颗粒占比较高,呈负偏趋势,指示潮坪环境是主要沉积环境,但是沉积物的形成并非单一的沉积模式.粒度端元分析结果显示,海南文昌第四系沉积物均由4个端元组成(EM1~EM4),EM1~EM3为悬浮组分,EM4为跳跃组分,指示涨潮过程中的潮道淘洗作用对含矿沉积物的形成具有重要影响,期间伴随高能事件发生.粒度参数特征和粒度端元特征指示,海南文昌第四系含矿沉积物沉积环境主要为受间歇性风暴浪或山洪冲积影响的低能潮坪环境,主要在潮间带至潮下带中沉积.
Placer-type Zr-Hf deposits constitute the principal source of zirconium and hafnium for industrial production in China.The Wenchang area of Hainan Province hosts a series of important placer-type Zr-Hf deposits and repre-sents a key metallogenic district for these critical metals.These deposits occur within Quaternary sediments of the Yandun,Basuo,and Beihai formations,forming continuous coastal belts that extend inland along fluvial systems.Understanding the depositional environment of the ore-bearing sediments is essential for constraining mineraliza-tion processes and guiding exploration in this region.In this study,Quaternary Zr-Hf-bearing sediments from the Wenchang area were investigated.Grain-size characteristics were analyzed,and grain-size end-member modeling was applied to identify sedimentary components and interpret sediment transport processes,thereby providing in-sights into the depositional environment of Quaternary placer-type Zr-Hf deposits.The results indicate that the av-erage grain size of the ore-bearing sediments in the research area falls within the silt range(5.85~6.85 Ф).Among the formations,the Beihai Formation exhibits the coarsest grain size,followed by the Basuo Formation,while the Yandun Formation has the finest grain size.In vertical section,the sediment grain size gradually fines upward from older to younger strata.Overall,the Quaternary sediments are moderately to poorly sorted,with a relatively concentrated grain-size distribution.Compared to the mean grain size,coarse particles constitute a relatively high proportion,showing a negatively skewed trend,indicates the tidal flat environment is the main sedimentary envi-ronment,but the formation of sediments does not follow a single sedimentary pattern.Grain-size end-member analysis reveals that the Quaternary sediments in Wenchang are composed of four end members(EM1~EM4),with EM1~EM3 representing suspended components and EM4 representing saltation components,indicates the scouring effect of the tidal channel during the rising tide process has a significant impact on the formation of min-eral-bearing sediments,and during this period,high-energy events also occur.The characteristics of grain-size pa-rameters and end-member modeling suggest that the sedimentary environment of the Quaternary ore-bearing sedi-ments in Wenchang was primarily a low-energy tidal flat influenced by intermittent storm waves or alluvial flood-ing,with deposition mainly occurring in intertidal to subtidal zones.
