针对多波束底回波图像中环境噪声、系统噪声与散斑噪声叠加导致的图像质量欠佳问题,提出一种基于改进EMD和BM3D的底回波图像去噪方法:首先采用改进的EMD方法将回波信号分解为高频和低频IMF分量,然后对高频IMF分量使用改进的小波变换进行信号域去噪,再将去噪后的高频分量与原始低频分量组合重构为初步去噪图像,最后引人改进的BM3D方法去除斑点噪声,得到高质量底回波图像.实验结果表明,该方法在抑制噪声的同时保留了图像中的细节信息,实现了对多波束底回波数据在一维信号域和二维图像域的综合去噪,推动多波束技术在海洋测绘中的应用.

Multi-beam seafloor echosounder bottom echo are crucial information sources for reflecting changes in seafloor geomorphology and substrate distribution.However,the bottom echo signals received by echosounder often contain multiple types of noise,which seriously affect image quality and subsequent processing.To address this issue,this paper proposes a denoising method for bottom echo images based on improved Empirical Mode Decomposition(EMD)and Block-Matching 3D(BM3D):First,the improved Empirical Mode Decomposition(EMD)method is adopted to decompose the bottom echo signal into high-frequency and low-frequency Intrinsic Mode Function(IMF)components.Then,an improved wavelet transform is applied to the high-frequency IMF components for denoising in the signal domain.Next,the denoised high-frequency components are subsequently combined with the original low-frequency components for reconstruction to obtain a preliminarily denoised image.Finally,the improved BM3D algorithm is introduced to remove speckle noise,so as to obtain high-quality bottom echo image.The experimental results demonstrate that this method suppresses noise effectively while preserving detailed information in the image.It realizes comprehensive denoising of multi-beam bottom echo data in both the 1D signal domain and 2D image domain,and further promotes the application of multi-beam technology in marine surveying and mapping.
